Our primary wedding venue includes the modern indoor lobby and the scenic garden patio of the Hurst Theatre — a beautiful and versatile space perfect for your ceremony, reception, welcome party, rehearsal dinner, or farewell brunch. Encompassed by the serene sanctuary, your celebration will feel both intimate and iconic.

Available from early June through October, Theatre Aspen’s lobby and patio can accommodate:

• Up to 130 guests for a seated wedding reception
• Up to 200 guests for a cocktail-style celebration

This flexible venue offers a unique blend of natural elegance and downtown Aspen convenience, ideal for couples looking for a stylish space that can be customized to suit any wedding vision — from rustic chic to modern glam.

While your wedding venue is the Theatre Aspen lobby and patio, couples who want even more outdoor space can add on access to the John Denver Sanctuary. This lush, landscaped area is ideal for an outdoor ceremony or extended photo opportunities.

To include the Sanctuary as part of your event, Theatre Aspen will help to coordinate with the City of Aspen (available for an additional fee and requiring a city permit). Our team can help guide you through this process and coordinate logistics for a seamless experience.

• 10-hour venue rental (including setup, event, and teardown time)
• Additional time available at an hourly rate.
• Exclusive use of the indoor lobby and outdoor garden patio
• Access to the lobby concessions/bar area
• Use of built-in lobby speaker system (with headphone jack input)
• One (1) on-site Theatre Aspen staff member during event hours
• Use of four (4) high-top cocktail tables and four (4) café tables and 12 white folding chairs
