Relaxed Performances include the following accommodations and options:

• Sound effects and music played at a reduced level
• No strobe lights
• House lights partially up
• Audience members permitted to move in seats or in aisles (safely)
• Quiet Zone in lobby available where show can be watched on a TV screen
• Noise reducing headphones available
• ASL interpreter & CART caption services

Who are Relaxed Performances good for?

Anyone! But particularly: young children, people with sensory sensitivities, people with developmental disabilities, people who are deaf and communicate using ASL, or anyone who thinks seeing a show in a relaxed environment would be more conducive to enjoying or lasting through an entire performance.

About the Show

Beauty is in the eye of the ogre in Shrek The Musical JR., based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and fantastic Broadway musical.  It’s a “big bright beautiful world” as everyone’s favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance.  Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek JR. is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family.
