2021 Season

Theatre Aspen is excited to welcome you back to The Hurst Theatre this upcoming summer. Please know that Theatre Aspen is committed to the safety and health of our audiences, performers, employees, and volunteers.

Theatre Aspen Leadership is working with officials at all levels across the city, county, state, and unions, to be at the forefront of developing best practices and protocols for the upcoming season. For any questions please email or call 970.925.9313. Full Season dates and details will be announced shortly.

As we all move toward a post-pandemic life, we are pleased to share that we will be offering two types of seating configurations for our audiences this summer. You will see these demarcated on the schedule.

Full Capacity: At these shows, the audience members will be seated in a traditional, non-distanced manner. If 16 years of age or older, either proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within 48-hours of the show, will be required to attend. Masks will be required to attend.

Distanced Shows: At these shows, the audience members will be socially distanced for those who would be more comfortable in this configuration. Masks will be required to attend.

2020 Season Safety Video

We ask that patrons who attend Theatre Aspen productions, adhere to the following health and safety protocols:

Due to our agreement with Actor’s Equity Association, the union for actors and stage managers, masks will be required while seated in the theatre for performances and there will be no food or drink allowed in the theatre.

Please arrive at the Theatre 30-45 minutes in advance of curtain time to allow for seating. Multiple entrances and exits will be available to help the flow of traffic.

Tent panels will be kept open. For evening performances, we recommend bringing a jacket or blanket.

Please adhere to all signage posted.

Masks, hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes are available.

Performances will not have any intermissions to minimize bathroom lines.

After the performance, groups must wait to be dismissed by House Management to help egress flow.

We ask that anyone experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 not attend a Theatre Aspen event. In the event of being unable to attend an event, please contact our box office for information on refunds and ticket exchanges.

Please remember to adhere to the

Pitkin County 5 Commitments of Containment.
