Plan Your Visit

Your Theatre Aspen Experience

The best entryway to the park is on Rio Grande Place, along the skate park.  Please be advised that at night it can be dark; we do offer a SHOW SHUTTLE golf cart to bring guests to and from the theatre. Look for the TA Flag before the show!

The theatre is in an enclosed tent structure and vulnerable to weather and temperature conditions – act like a local and make sure to bring layers!

Lodging and Dining

Aspen is an extremely popular destination. We suggest you plan your visit well in advance and take advantage of lodging and dining packages that are available for singles, couples and families.  From campers to 5-star hotel visitors, there is something for everyone in the Roaring Fork Valley.

Dining choices range from ‘locals’ hangs like Ajax Tavern to fabulous sushi (yes, even in the mountains!) at Matsuhisa. The TA team has a soft spot for CP Restaurant Group’s different locales and before you leave, don’t miss the Hotel Jerome’s historic J-Bar.

Zane’s has the best wings, good beer and a serious happy hour — you might spot a few of our actors there — and White House Tavern is a great addition to Aspen.

Arts & The Outdoors

Aspen is one of the most unique destinations in the world, where majestic natural vistas support countless outdoor activities, and where you can also enjoy world-class culture.

A typical day in Aspen features a morning hike, breakfast at Mawa’s Kitchen or Hickory House, biking, hiking or fly fishing.  Before or after dinner, you can have world class cultural experiences at Theatre Aspen, The Aspen Music Festival and School, Jazz Aspen Snowmass, or the Aspen Art Museum.

Before you go! Take a walking tour with the Aspen Historical Society, visit the widely-photographed Maroon Bells or drive up Independence Pass to the Continental Divide. Adventurous souls can join a Class 4+ whitewater rafting trip, or paraglide off of Aspen Mountain, providing a grace note of colored sails in the late afternoon skies.

Aspen truly is the most beautiful place in the world to make art.
