Director of Development
Amiee Turner is thrilled to join Theatre Aspen as Director of Development. She comes to Colorado having been the Executive Director at Team Woofgang & Co in Fairfield, CT, Executive Director of Ocean State Theatre Company in Rhode Island, and Development Director at Florida Repertory Theatre in Fort Myers, FL.
Amiee’s eclectic career began as a performer and includes tours of Funny Girl, A Chorus Line and CATS. She made her Broadway debut at 19 as Phyllis in David Merrick’s 42nd Street. Other Broadway shows include: The Will Rogers Follies (OBC), My Favorite Year (OBC), The Goodbye Girl, A Funny Thing… Forum, and Dame Edna: The Royal Tour. As a producer, she founded A.I.S.O.P. Theatre Co. in New York City and co-founded Ocean State Theatre Company in Rhode Island. Amiee also co-produced (and co-starred in) the independent film Sunday on the Rocks alongside Tony® Award-winners Cady Huffman and Julie White, directed by Emmy® Award winner Joe Morton. Her directing credits run the gamut from the single person play The Santaland Diaries, to a production of Babes in Arms that included 58 children. She has directed over 60 productions and enjoys working with everyone from interns to Tony Award winners.
