Beautiful tells the story of Carole King’s remarkable rise to stardom, from being part of a hit songwriting team with her husband Gerry Goffin, to her relationship with fellow writers and best friends Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history. Hit songs from her illustrious career included in the musical are “Will You Love Me Tomorrow”, “It’s Too Late”, “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman”, You’ve Got a Friend”, “So Far Away” and more.

Julia Knitel (Carole King) After playing Carole King on Broadway & in the 1st National Touring company of Beautiful, Julia is thrilled to be returning to such a wonderful role. Nina Gabianelli (Genie) Nina graduated with a BFA, in Musical Theatre, from Boston Conservatory. After a decade plus career in NYC, working regionally in theatres from Philly to Florida and producing several solo shows performed in the NYC cabaret circuit, Nina moved West. For the past 24 years she has called the Roaring Fork Valley her home. Favorite roles include Miss Hannigan in ANNIE-Theatre Aspen, Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd-Glenwood Vaudeville Theatre and most recently Joanne in COMPANY-Aspen Community Theatre. Nina is a founding member of Consensual Improv and works full time as Vice President, Education and Programs at the Aspen Historical Society.

Miles Jacoby (Gerry Goffin) Theatre Aspen debut! Miles is a Brooklyn based actor, singer, and educator. He was last on Broadway as the Elder Price standby in THE BOOK OF MORMON, which he continued in both national tours. He also played Bob Gaudio in the First National Tour of JERSEY BOYS. Regional favorites include the Dentist in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (Cape Playhouse) directed by Theatre Aspen’s very own Michael Rader, Che in EVITA (Lone Tree Arts Center), and, most recently, Gerry Goffin in BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL (Casa Mañana). BA from Yale University. MFA from Juilliard. Love to Katya + Maddie. 
Sara King (Cynthia Weil) Sara is thrilled reprise the role of Cynthia in beautiful Aspen after her multi year run on Broadway as an original company member. Barrett Riggins (Barry Mann) Barrett is an actor, composer, and lyricist based in Brooklyn. Recent credits include: Fritz in Barry Manilow’s Harmony (Off-Broadway), Mordred in Camelot (The MUNY), and Huey in Memphis (TUTS). He has released two albums, Good Ol’ and Smoke Machine, available on all streaming platforms. He also writes musicals with Graham Techler. Their shows include Helsinki (2023 O’Neill NMTC Semi-Finalist) and The Panic of ’29 (59E59). Barrett is a new member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Writing Workshop.
